Stolen car found on its roof in Walton-le-Dale

Emergency services were scrambled to Walton-le-Dale during the early hours of Tuesday (13 March) morning.

A car was on its roof after the driver hit a telegraph pole and flipped the car into a wall.

Lancashire Road Police tweeted a picture of the overturned car.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said they had been called by police to the scene in Chorley Road, Walton-le-Dsale around 2.44am.

The car is believed to have been stolen and had false plates.

Two men escaped from the vehicle, without serious injury, and made off over several garden fences pursued by a police dog unit.

No arrests have been made at this stage.
