A major spending spree has been announced on repairing roads across Lancashire, including Preston and South Ribble.

Expect plenty of roadworks during the next 12 months as Lancashire County Council begin resurfacing our pothole ridden roads.

The county council has blamed an ‘extremely bitter winter’ for the state of the roads.

South Ribble is set to see some major roadworks, these are all the roads and pavements due to see work – however it’s just a fraction of the work to take place in Preston.

Roads due to work

Liverpool Old Road from Liverpool Road Hill Lane, costing £99,094.

Moss House Lane from Smithy Lane to Carr Lane, costing £25,620.
