Lis Smith, principal and chief executive of Preston’s College, said: “Building on the previous year’s impressive results, now becoming the seventh best nationally across our course provision is an outstanding achievement.

“It’s a testament to the calibre of our entire team in providing education and training that’s amongst the best in the country, as well as the hard work of our students.

“We’re committed to making our learners the most employable that they can be.

“This means delivering a curriculum that encompasses classroom and workplace-based training and education routes that equip students with the real skills, knowledge and experience needed to hit the ground running in their chosen career path, whether that is after College or after University.
