A Preston city centre road is to reopen temporarily while another is shut to deal with the road collapsing.

Old Vicarage – with the Black A Moor Head pub on the corner – is being shut off by Lancashire County Council from Friday (2 March) for ‘urgent unscheduled work’.

It had been used as a diversion route while work on Lord Street was taking place.

The county council is reopening Lord Street, next to the Guild Hall, while the work to Old Vicarage takes place.
