A man has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Preston city centre.
Preston Police cordoned off a number of roads off Fishergate Hill following the incident on Saturday (24 March) afternoon.
Inspector Kim Sturgess confirmed to Blog Preston a man, aged 27, was stabbed during a suspected robbery.
He has a punctured lung and has been taken to Royal Preston Hospital and is described as being in a stable condition.
Police closed off Walton’s Parade, West Cliff and North Cliff Street following the robbery – where the man had his bike taken.
Inspector Sturgess said: “We are now looking for two men. Both are white. One has ginger hair and the other is bald.”
The police cordon is expected to be removed shortly and has been in place since shortly before 4pm.
The robbery took place shortly after 3.30pm and police were called to the scene by the North West Ambulance Service.
