A new coffee shop is preparing to open its doors in Bamber Bridge.
Valley coffee shop – an extension of the Valley church – has been funded by churchgoers.
Based in Fourfields off Station Road the coffee shop is open to everyone from Saturday (10 March).
They soft launched two weeks ago and say trade has already been brisk.
Cafe manager Danny Moore said: “There are a number of reasons why Valley church have decided to build a coffee shop however the main overriding reason is to welcome the community of Bamber Bridge and Preston into the church. We want to make anyone who walks in feel at home and relaxed.
“The coffee shop gives those who aren’t sure about church or christianity or those who are nervous to come to a church service a chance to scope us out. To see who we are in neutral and familiar surroundings. We hope and believe that this will change people’s perception of what a church is and what it is like.
“Funding for this project has predominantly come from donations made by the people of Valley church who see the opportunity it will give their church to welcome in the local community.
“We aim to be a high quality coffee shop at competitive prices. We believe in excellence without extortion.”
