Preston’s first ‘pop up restaurant’ served its first diners during the weekend.

Brainchild of We Don’t Give A Fork owner Mark O’Rourke they took over the Ham and Jam coffee shop in Lancaster Road, Preston city centre.

More than 100 diners booked in during the course of Thursday, Friday and Saturday to try out the menu – which will be different each weekend.

Mark said: “The first weekend went extremely well.

“Everyone seems surprised that the standard of food is so high and the service is so good.

“We’re really looking forward to the weekends to come.”

The Preston Pop Up restaurant is also running a special seven-course tasting menu on Valentine’s Day.

It runs every weekend (Thu, Fri and Sat) during February and the three-course menu is £25 per head. Bookings can be made via the Preston Pop-Up website.
