Time has now been called on Preston’s Indoor Market which has stood since the 1960s.
Traders packed up on Saturday (10 February) for one last time as many prepare to move into the new glazed structure under the Outdoor Covered Market.
Adam Kean took a walk round the market building, which is due for demolition during 2018 to make way for a new cinema and restaurant complex, and captured the final trading on video.
It includes Adam’s commentary on what he sees as he makes his way up and down the market and stalls.
More than 25 traders are signed up for the new Preston Market in its £4million custom-built structure.
A new box market will also be in operation under the Fish Market canopy.
