Chinese New Year is rapidly approaching and UCLan are helping to bring this year’s celebrations to Preston.
Internationally respected Chinese Nanjing Little Red Flower Art Troupe will be bringing their imaginative performance to the city.
Performing at Preston Guild Hall, the art troupe will help celebrate the Chinese new year with a 90-minute innovative performance of dance, music and singing.

UCLan’s Confucius Institute, aiming to promote Chinese language and culture in the community, have been behind organising the performance.
Taking place on Tuesday 20 February, almost 20 children, aged six – twelve years old, will be participating.
The art troupe has performed all over the world, including for for heads-of-state, foreign delegations and diplomatic envoys to China.
Ms Xueting Luo, a professional dancer based at UCLan Confucius Institute, will also be performing two solo pieces.
Preston Mayor, Cllr Brian Rollo, is expected to attend the public event, along with hundreds of children from local schools and members of public in Preston.
The performance will be announced by a final year student studying Chinese at UCLan.
The performance begins at 12.30pm and tickets are priced at £11.
