A retirement village on the outskirts of a Preston village has been given the go ahead.
The 60-bedroom care home and 60 apartments were approved by councillors.
They will be on farmland off Preston Road in Grimsargh.
Councillors on the Preston City Council planning committee voted 7-4 in favour of the scheme from the Your Housing Group.
It will also include a doctors surgery and a new park within the development.

It faces objections from Preston Rural East councillor Neil Cartwright, Grimsargh Parish Council and 39 letters of objection from nearby residents.
Planning officers had recommended the scheme for approval stating: “It is considered that the proposed development would bring social, economic and environmental benefits that outweigh the conflict with the development plan and the environmental harm associated with the loss of open countryside.”
