An online petition has been created for the installment of a pedestrian crossing on Blackpool Road.
The request is for Lancashire County Council to put controlled crossing lights on the junction where Blackpool Road meets Plungington Road.
Izzi Proudfoot, 25, who lives in Fulwood, made the petition after experiencing difficulty crossing on numerous occasions.

Izzi, mum-of-two, hopes to make the road safer as she increasingly finds it too dangerous to cross by herself, let alone with her very young children.
Izzi Proudfoot said: “It’s extremely dangerous.
“The only time you can cross is when there’s a few second break in the traffic light signalling.
“Whenever I try to cross, I can only get to the middle and end up on the very narrow halfway point.
“The traffic lights change very fast and cars are speeding to try and get through before the red light.
“It’s very unsafe, especially with having young children.
“There are lots of children in the area and there needs to be a green man to help everyone to cross the road. It needs to be made safer.”
The petition must reach a total of 50 signatures in order to be considered by councilors at Lancashire County Council.
You can sign the petition by visiting the Lancashire County Council website.
