One of Preston’s longest-standing traditions returns during Easter weekend.
Dating back to Victorian times the egg rolling sees children, and adults, send their Easter Eggs flying down the slopes of the Avenham Park hill.
Running on Easter Monday (Monday 2 April) to egg rolls take place on the hour each hour at the park.

The full programme for the event is yet to be announced but a variety of entertainment takes place.
Easter Bonnets will also be decorated and the annual Easter Bonnet competition runs, with children competing to win the accolade of ‘Best Bonnet in Show’.
Bonnet making workshops run at 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm.
