A new barber shop has opened in Penwortham.

The Prestige Barbershop has taken on a premises in Priory Lane.

It says it is offering ‘luxury gentleman’s barbering, grooming and shaving’.

Run by Ian Haydock he has more than 30 years experience in the industry.

He said: “Opening The Prestige in Penwortham is my life-long dream. I live locally with my wife and young children, and was in fact born on Moorhey Drive, a stone throw from Priory Lane where The Prestige is situated.

“Our Penwortham launch coincides with the continuing business development of the local area and we are proud to support two new jobs – including an apprentice later this year.

“I have created an experience unlike any other locally – exceptional service delivered in a supremely comfortable and modern environment, with highly qualified staff. We bring to you classic, high fashion and modern styles and have a range of exclusive grooming products to purchase in the barbershop.”

Alongside Ian is award-winning barber from Birkdale Lesley Morgan-Macbain.

She said: “I have worked with the top industry leaders and leading product brands, delivering national stage demonstration high fashion, modern and classic styles.

“My work has been produced in several barber magazines. I hail from Birkdale in Southport and have an established barbershop already. I am looking forward to meeting the new clients that The Prestige and getting to know the thriving town of Penwortham.”
