Plans for a new block of flats off Winckley Square have been put on the back-burner.

Planning officers had recommended the scheme be refused for its ‘incongruous’ design.
The Garden Street proposals fell within the Winckley Square conservation area.
A former sports hall, once used by Cardinal Newman College, would have been demolished as part of the proposals.
