Gateway’s Got Talent competition came to a head last August, selecting worthy winner rock band ‘PR5’.
Now the group, made up of four local lads, have decided to spend their winnings on their singing career.
Competing in the Community Gateway competition, the boys were awarded a £500 prize which they have put towards studio time and their first original single.

Aged between 14-25, PR5 consists of friends Jude Humphreys, Bobby Cumming, Rohan Manivannan and Harry Hodgson.
Comprising of Jude on vocals, Bobby on guitar, Rohan on bass, and Harry on drums, PR5’s new single ‘Brace Yourself’ is set to be released on Friday 2 March.
It will become available on ITunes, Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer.
To celebrate the single release, PR5 will be hosting a launch party held at AT Bamber Bridge FC, where the PR5 postcode inspired the name.
The free launch party event will take place from 7pm, and under 18s are welcome.

Catherine Hodgson, Manager of PR5, said: “We are really looking forward to PR5’s single launch at Bamber Bridge Football Club.
“It’s the perfect venue as it is in the PR5 postcode.
“We will be having live music, chat, t-shirts, CDs and merchandise for sale, and we are looking forward to a great turnout.
“The evening will culminate in the launch of the single Brace Yourself with details of how to download it – it will be available on all the streaming sites.”
The band are also due to play live at Croston Fest on Saturday 24 February from 4pm.
As part of their prize from Gateway’s Got Talent, PR5 will be performing at Preston Guild Hall, along with other festivals and events around Preston throughout the year.
