Preston residents are now able to apply for the annual collection of their brown bins.
Applications or renewals for garden waste collection in 2018 have now opened on Preston City Council’s website.
Garden waste collection takes place on your bin collection day, and you can get rid of grass cuttings, hedge trimmings, cut flowers and weeds into your brown bin.

You can now apply for the early-bird garden waste collection costing £30, which will include the emptying of one brown bin fortnightly during 2018.
The early-bird offer has to be paid before midnight on Friday 9 March.
After this period, the annual renewal charge will be a subscription of £35 for the collection of your brown bin waste.
Preston City Council are reminding Prestonians that if you don’t already have a brown bin, you will need to request a new brown bin and this will include a delivery charge of £15.
The annual subscription will only apply for one bin, meaning the £35 charge will apply for each bin you have.
The price for brown bin collections in Preston has increased from previous years, with it costing £5 less last year.
In 2017, the charge for garden waste collection was £30, with an early-bird offer of £25.
