Tributes have been paid to a man found dead after a fight in Fulwood.
Gareth Roberts died at Royal Preston Hospital after being found with serious head injuries in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Family members have now released a tribute to the ‘avid Liverpool FC fan’.
The 36-year-old’s sister Lucie Maropakis and brother Darren Roberts have paid tribute.
They said: “Our hearts are broken as we grieve the tragic loss of our little brother Gareth. He was adored by his nephew and nieces and beloved by his family and friends. Gareth who was an avid Liverpool FC fan will never be forgotten.
“You’ll never walk alone Gareth we love you.”
Police were called to an address in Levensgarth Avenue in the Sharoe Green area around 5.35am on Saturday (13 January).
A post mortem showed Mr Roberts died from ‘traumatic head, face and neck injuries’.
A 37-year-old man from Huddersfield and a 36-year-old woman from Preston, who had been arrested on suspicion of murder, are now bailed pending further enquiries until 11 February.
