Marathons are usually big achievements in themselves, however for a Preston woman, one marathon wasn’t quite enough.
Gina Biggs, 28, has taken the marathon goal one step further, and has managed to complete an impressive 100 marathons.
Gin has been running since 28 October 2012, with her first race being the Preston Guild Half Marathon.
Her very first marathon was on 1 December 2013 in Lancaster, and it has taken her four years and three days to complete an outstanding 100 marathons.
She got the inspiration to try and tackle 100 marathons after seeing other runners wear the club vest ‘100 marathons’ t-shirt.
Gina was already at 30 marathons at that point, and decided to continue her running journey in attempt of reaching the 100 marathon milestone.
Five of Gina’s marathons have been ultra marathons, with the longest distance reaching an incredible 74 miles.
