A once great pub with an ace jukebox, friendly staff and clientele and the best pint of Landlord in Preston.
Many a happy and safe friendly night in there as well as the New Brit around the corner. Beer was good, prices were fair. Never ate in there. Toilets had a certain perfume about them but that never stopped a friendly loyal clientele going in.
I remember going in this pub as a teenager. One of the pubs that us punks were welcomed into. So sad.
Damn shame, had some great times in that pub, all the old pubs with character are fading away into these bright trendy soulless bars.
Hardly a surprise, Friargate is on its arse. A simple micro pub would work, something similar to the Golden Tap in Leyland.
I am very sad about this. I have so many good memories.
