Preston’s university rugby team face off against Lancaster in the red-rose battle.
University of Central Lancashire men’s first and seconds take on Lancaster and the UCLan Ladies take on Durham Ladies.
Preston Grasshoppers is hosting the free event and the matches take place from Wednesday (24 January) afternoon onwards.
The matches are also helping to raise money for charity with a raffle with the Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
A spokesman for Preston Grasshoppers said: “We’re hoping this can become an annual event, providing the UCLan sides with a great platform to play on the artificial grass pitch.”

The games are free to watch and every student who attends receives a free ticket to the Hoppers game against local rivals Rossendale on Saturday 3 February.
Matches are at 3pm the UCLan Ladies, 5pm the UCLan Mens 2nds and 7pm the UCLan Mens 1sts.
