A cup of tea and some toast won’t be found at Preston Bus Station for the next few months.

As part of the multi-million pound restoration of the grade-II listed building the cafe has been closed.

Passengers passing through the Bus Station won’t be able to get refreshments until mid to late April.

A Lancashire County Council spokesman confirmed the cafe had shut and was being refurbished.

Work on the Bus Station is seeing a revamp to the concourse area as the majority of buses move to going from the eastern side of the building.

The Bus Station’s car park has seen major changes to the size of parking spaces and a floor-by-floor refurb.
