Police surround car in a Preston park

Police vehicles on the park surrounded the car

Police vehicles have surrounded a car in a Preston park during Friday afternoon.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing police vehicles surrounding a silver vehicle in Ribbleton Park – also known as Waverley Park.

The incident at around 4pm on Friday (5 January) took place at the park which is between New Hall Lane and Blackpool Road.

Around six police vehicles are in attendance with three on the park itself.

The police vehicles also became stuck in the mud on the park and had to be towed off
