Police reopen Riversway after woman found with ‘serious injuries’

A woman has been found with ‘serious injuries’ on a busy Preston road.

Preston PoliceĀ  shut the slip road from Blackpool Road into Riversway shortly before 4pm.

They are warning of serious congestion in the area and Preston Docks as a result.

Police say they were called around 3.45pm on Friday (26 January).

A spokeswoman for the North West Ambulance Service said a lady in her 30s has been treated for wrist and facial injuries after falling from height.

The woman has been taken to Royal Preston Hospital.

Police reopened the slip road around 5pm.

The slip road from Riversway to Blackpool Road, in the opposite direction, remained open. As is Blackpool Road heading towards Ashton-on-Ribble.
