Preston Bus Station is often pictured from the outside as its a grade-II listed brutalist piece of architecture (love it or hate it).
But inside it’s also seeing a restoration project as Lancashire County Council revamps the concourse area.
Buses are to go from the east side of the Bus Station as the western side becomes a new public square and should see the building of the multi-million pound youth zone.
New toilets, new benches and new stands are being put in but in-keeping with the 1960s decor of the decades old structure.

The county council announced it would be introducing a charge for using the new toilets.
A new information office is also beginning to take shape and the current cafe is also seeing a major refurbishment.
Paul Melling went for a look around the concourse and also snapped the work on the southern end of the Bus Station to create a new coach terminal for long-distance services.
