Nick Park returns to Preston for Early Man showing

One of Preston’s most famous sons returned to the city for a showing of his new film.

Nick Park – the creator of Wallace and Gromit – visited the Odeon at Preston Docks on Saturday (27 January).

He was joined by young fans who were there for the showing of the Early Man.

The film follows cave man Dug and his sidekick Hognob as they battle against extinction.

Voices in the animation are Eddie Redmayne, Tom Hiddleston, Timothy Spall, Maisie Williams and Richard Ayoade.

The four-times Oscar winner grew up near the city and married in the Gibbon Bridge Hotel in September 2016.

He co-owns Aardman Animations, one of the UKs best-known production companies.
