A car park next to a church in Preston city centre looks set to be built on.
Pillars Construction Limited have lodged plans for a new apartment block.
Land off Grimshaw Street, near the Seventh Day Adventist Church, would be redeveloped as the flats.
The development would have 28 flats, with 16 being two-bedroom and 12 being one-bedroom.

A statement from Pillars said: “The Design team has carefully prepared the Planning Application and designed to produce a sensitive and contemporary residential development to satisfy all the criteria for the site.
“The proposal will blend in well with its immediate surroundings ad make a positive impact to and enhance the local area and promote growth and interest in Preston. Not only is the scheme designed to be visually pleasing when looking from the outside as a pedestrian but also to meet the needs of a modern lifestyle and into the future.”

Full plans can be seen on the Preston City Council website and comments can be left there for planning officers.
