A woman was cut from her car after a crash on the M65 on Thursday evening.

Lancashire Police closed the M65 eastbound between Junctions 2 (Walton Summit) and 3 (Walton-le-Dale/Chorley) shortly before 8pm.

Several vehicles were involved in the crash on Thursday (28 December).

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service were called out to cut the vehicle from the car.

First aid was also given to other casualties from other vehicles.

The North West Ambulance Service confirmed a female in her 20s was taken to Royal Preston Hospital with injuries to her leg and arm.
