Protest outside Barclays in Fishergate sees slogans sprayed on windows

Police were called to a protest outside a bank in Preston city centre on Thursday morning.

Graffiti had been sprayed onto the windows of the Barclays in Fishergate.

Lancashire Police said no arrests had been made during the peaceful protest.

Pictures showed the words ‘Toxic bankers’ and other slogans scrawled on the windows.

The spray-painted words were washed off by lunchtime.

Police said they were called around 11.40am.
