New Hall Lane roadworks causing delays as large hole dug

Delays are expected again in New Hall Lane due to major roadworks.

Two-way temporary traffic signals are in place at the junction with Cairnsmore Avenue.

Traffic coming into Preston on the A59 has been queueing back to the Tickled Trout due to the traffic lights.

40 metres of road is being excavated to install cable to supply a new cubicle by Electricity North West.

Sue Walker, who lives nearby, said a large hole had been dug near to the Shell garage.

The work is due to be completed by late on Sunday (3 December) evening.
