Meeting the team behind Wacky World as it prepares to open Preston base

Fun Leisure UK is Preston’s growing firm that specialises in fun and unique products for team building, corporate event entertainment and wedding entertainment ideas.

The business was set up in 2008 by Darren Ofsarnie, from Manchester, and Haydn Price, from Leicester, who are the duo behind taking on Switch Nightclub.

Fun Leisure is based in Parker Lane, Preston and employs over 40 staff – and is about to open its first permanent inflatable play centre.

They have recently moved from two full time staff, to six full time staff, and have employed three event managers, along with ten part time staff.

Fun Leisure work with some of the biggest companies in the UK, as well as private functions, weddings and parties to bring them entertainment.

The company supplies leading equipment such as customisable rodeo bulls, wipe out inflatables, interactive activities, climbing wall hire, outdoor event stages and other live entertainment.

They operate throughout the North West and nationwide including Lancashire, Manchester, Liverpool, Cheshire, Leeds, Birmingham, Liverpool, London, Cumbria and Scotland.

Haydn Price said: “We’ve had a great story so far providing entertainment throughout the UK for weddings, birthdays, corporate clients and more.

“We’ve made some experienced additions to our team and this investment in talent, as well as products, is what we believe the company needs to carry on growing and service our clients present, future and repeat!”

The business is going from strength to strength with lots of products planned for upcoming events in the run up to Christmas, including a Christmas Grotto, Snow Globe with Photo Prints and Igloo Disco.

Fun Leisure Ltd is currently working closely with Vodafone, Rolls Royce and more in December 2017.

In 2018, the company will be working with more of the same large corporate businesses, but will also be working with a lot of weddings and private functions that have been in the diary for a while.
They are recruiting further on event managers and events staff, and have taken on another six in the last couple of weeks.

Antony Anderson, Marketing Manager at Fun Leisure, said: “The latter stages of 2017 have proved to be a huge time of growth for the group and 2018 looks to be even bigger!

“We’re working with a lot of corporate clients as well as lots of exciting weddings and Christmas events for clients.

“We work with everyone from weddings to corporate events and everything in between.

“With the last few years of experience, the team set up another concept in Wacky World which has become the UK’s largest touring inflatable attraction.”
