An Italian restaurant on the outskirts of Preston is planning a major expansion.
San Marco group has tabled proposals for a new production facility at the Broughton-based Italian Orchard restaurant.
It’s the first stage in proposals for the Whittingham Lane restaurant.
Mr Ivan Bragagnini has applied via the 5373 Development Consultants for two stages of the Italian Orchard development.
The first is for the building of a storage and manufacturing facility.
Documents for the group state it would be used for making pasta and other Italian foods to be stocked and used at the restaurant – as well as Angelo’s, San Marco, Pinnocchio’s and Stratos which are all operated by the same group.

Plans also show how a third stage, which has not yet seen plans lodged, for a hotel and spa to be built next to the existing restaurant.
The restaurant has already been extended in 2014 with a major extension added.
