Lytham Road Surgery in Fulwood is due to move into a ‘new purpose built premises’ within the Little Sisters of the Poor care home.
HBS Healthcare was revealed as having bought the nursing home and Spiral Health CIC is to operate the care home once the nuns have gone.
But part of the grounds will see a new doctors surgery built – due to be around the rear of the four acre site.
Run by Dr Deborah Clift the surgery has ‘out grown’ its current premises and says it is ‘restricted’ in the services it can currently provide to patients.

The new home would be just over half-a-mile up Garstang Road.
The proposed new surgery is due to a have more clinical rooms, more off-road parking, an on-site pharmacy and a greater variety of health and community services.
The statement goes on to say: “Plans are at the design stage and have been through the preliminary planning process. It is anticipated that building would start in 2018 and the building would be ready to relocate into sometime in 2019.”
