Fire service at scene in Manchester Road

Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service are currently in attendance at a scene in the city centre.

Two fire engines are reportedly using hose reel jets at a scene in Manchester Road close to Church Street.

The incident was reported to Blog Preston at around 12.45pm.

A statement from Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service said: “There was just a rubbish fire in a yard.

“Firefighters were at the scene for about 15 minutes.”

It is the third time recently that fire crews have been called to Manchester Road.

Crews were called to a derelict building fire on November 30.

They were called to a similar incident on November 25.
