A group of church-goers are to feed the city’s homeless in the run up to Christmas.

Paths of Love group are offering a free Christmas dinner to those in need in Preston.

Under the cover of the newly restored market a Christmas Dinner and hot drinks is being provided.

Rebekah Waring said: “Last year used the former cafe in the Indoor Market for it and it was a great success.

“This year’s we’ve been unsuccessful finding an indoor venue but the council have very kindly let us use under the market canopy.

“There will be Christmas music and lights and we hope to bring a bit of cheer in the festive season.”

The group have been running food kitchens for the homeless for nearly four years.

It takes place on Thursday (21 December) from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.
