Preston Bus has condemned teenagers seen ‘bus surfing’ in Preston – and those who filmed it.

Footage shared on Twitter shows two young boys crouched at the back of the Number 8 bus to Moor Nook.

The incident in Ribbleton Lane on Friday (29 December) took place around 4pm.

The youths were said to be bus surfing for around 10 minutes and were filmed by a passenger in the car following the bus.

A spokesman for Preston Bus said: “This is known as bus surfing.

“The driver would be unaware of anything untoward going on unless someone told him. Fortunately incidents such as these are very rare.

“We have not had anything reported to us.”

He said: “The actions of the person filming are a disgrace.

“The actions of the children are very dangerous and if one of them was to slip then the car would likely hit them.

“We will be reporting the matter to the police.”
