An ice cream parlour is preparing to open in Preston Guild Hall.

Bonds 1947 opens this week after Simon Rigby’s purchase of the iconic Bonds brand name.

The Elswick ice cream parlour and restaurant is to remain open but the brand name is to be used to re-create the cafe in Preston city centre.

What used to be Mundo Tapas has been converted into the new modern Bonds dining area.

Opening times for Bonds 1947 will be 8am-8pm Monday to Saturday and 11am-8pm on Sundays.

The former Mundo Tapas is to reopen inside the new LeVel entertainment complex in the Guild Hall.
