A Preston restaurant will once again open its doors on Christmas Day – for free.

Lola in London Road will be serving a hot meal for anyone who has no family or friends to spend Christmas Day with.

Walaa Hassan, owner of the Egyptian restaurant, said: “It is becoming our tradition to open our doors and say welcome to anyone.

“We wish to see everyone and say Merry Christmas.

“Thanks to everyone for their support. God bless you all.”

The restaurant will be open from around 5pm on Christmas Day with free food and soft drinks for those in need.

Walaa has opened each Christmas and also does the same on Ramadan.
