These four men are wanted for crimes and attacks against women in Preston, according to police.

A county-wide operation has been launched to track down 14 men across Lancashire wanted for crimes including sex offences, child abuse and domestic abuse.

Police have released five pictures of men from the Preston area they want to speak to.

Operation Montford as it has been code-named will see additional officers assigned to finding the wanted men.

Head of crime detective chief superintendent Sue Clarke said: “Robustly dealing with individuals who have committed these offences, supporting victims and preventing further offending remains a force priority and a key part of our everyday business.

“The operation gives a clear message that this type of offending will not be tolerated and emphasises our commitment to ensuring the safety of the community we serve.”

Here are the men from the Preston area police want to trace:

Peter Sumner
Peter Sumner

Peter Sumner, 54, from Walton-le-Dale is wanted in connection with the historical rape of a woman in Earby.

He is described as white, 6’2, with grey hair and has links to the Barnoldswick and West Crave areas.

Joshua Thorpe

Joshua Thorpe, 29, from Preston, is wanted in connection with three separate assaults on a woman and criminal damage to her home in Preston during July and August.

He is described as 6′, white, with fair hair and a medium build.

James Stewart McAllister
James Stewart McAllister

James Stewart McAllister, 31, from Preston, is wanted in connection with threats to kill, harassment and criminal damage against a 28-year-old woman in Pinfold Street, Callon on Saturday 28 October.

He is also wanted on recall to prison. McAllister is described as 5’6″, white, with an unkempt brown beard, cropped dark brown hair and of medium building.

Jamie Lee Carlisle

Jamie Lee Carlisle, 25, from Preston, is wanted in connection with a theft from a motor vehicle, domestic violence assault and criminal damage at an address in Bowness Road, Farringdon Park on Tuesday 3 October.

He is described as 5’5″, white, clean-shaven, with light brown hair and a slim build.
