Hundreds of Santas expected to charge around Lostock Hall once again as a city hospice’s Christmas event draws near.
St Catherine’s Christmas Festival takes place in the grounds of St Catherine’s park with an ice rink, Santa’s Grotto, craft and gift stalls all on offer.
Running from 11am to 3pm on Saturday (2 December) and Sunday (3 December) the festival includes the sponsored Santa Dash and Rudolph Rumble.
Food and drink throughout the festival is being served by The Mill – the cafe run by the hospice within the park grounds.

Director of community and income at St Catherine’s Hospice Lorraine Charlesworth said: “Our Christmas Festival is a wonderful occasion which attracts supporters from across Central Lancashire and beyond, with something for everyone. There’s a real buzz about the hospice as we prepare to put up our large marquee in the car park of The Mill café for the occasion this week.
“The two-mile Santa Dash around Lostock Hall and adorable half-mile Rudolph Rumble in our grounds help raise vital funds for the charity, and it’s fantastic to see hundreds of people flock to our grounds to enjoy the festivities and support their local hospice.”
