A Preston school’s concert band found all the right notes to secure a strong showing at the National Concert Band Festival.

Archbishop Temple School’s junior and senior concert bands were competing in the regional round of the competition.

The junior school band, conducted by Year 11 student Susanna Raj, achieved a platinum award – the highest level available.

She was conducting the Fulwood school’s junior concert band in the junior wind band category.

The senior concert band, competing in the schools’ wind band category, achieved a gold award.
