Police warning issued after spate of burglaries in Ashton-on-Ribble

A spate of burglaries in Ashton-on-Ribble has triggered a police appeal.

Preston Police say a man, in his 20s and using a yellow coloured mountain bike to get around is wanted in connection with the break-ins.

Homes in Mulgrave Avenue, Powis Road and Egerton Road are understood to have been targeted in the last two weeks.

One burglary involved a brick being thrown through a window to gain access.

Police say the majority of the burglaries have taken place overnight and the offender is forcing entry via rear doors and windows.

A number of sheds and garages have also been broken into.

The man suspected is said to be white, slim, clean shaven, wearing a black baseball cap, black tracksuits and blue trainers.
