More than 600 medical students who were displaced by Hurricane Irma and are studying in Preston are to see a civic reception held for them.
The Mayor of Preston councillor Brian Rollo is hosting the civic welcome for the staff and students.
It will take place at Preston Guild Hall on Monday (20 November) and hundreds of staff and students from the American University of the Caribbean are expected.
The University of Central Lancashire, based in Preston, opened its doors to the students so they could continue their studies following the devastating effects of Hurricane Irma.

They have been staying in numerous halls of residence and houses in Preston city centre.
Guests at the event include Lancashire MPs, the deputy chief of mission of the US Embassy in London and Lew Lukins the Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire.
