Police have been called to reports of youths throwing fireworks at cars.
AdvertisementOne driver, who asked not to be named, said a lit firework ‘fizzed off his bonnet’.
He was heading along Blackpool Road when the rocket was aimed at his car near the junction of West Park Avenue in Ashton-on-Ribble.
He said: “There was a fair few of them.
“It was raining hard so difficult to make them out.”

His is one of a number of reports in recent days about fireworks being thrown.
Police have moved to stop the sale of underage fireworks in Preston by closing down a shop in Manchester Road which is facing allegations of selling fireworks to under-18s.
