Emergency services at scene of traffic incident at docks

The scene near Preston docks this morning.

Emergency services have been called to the scene of an incident at the docks in Preston this morning (November 23).


The incident occurred at the junction of Pedders Way, Watery Lane and Riversway some time before 9.48am.

Police, the fire service and the ambulance service are all in attendance and witness reports indicate that a set of traffic lights was hit in the incident.

A statement from Lancashire Police said: “We were called around 9.30am today to a collision on Pedders Lane, Ashton-on-Ribble.

“A grey Volkswagen Golf had been involved in a collision with a set of traffic lights.

“The male driver suffered minor injuries.”
