Penwortham Hill was closed off to traffic during Sunday morning as silence fell for Remembrance Day.

Hundreds of people turned out to pay their respects at the war memorial in the town.

A parade made its way to the memorial for the annual service.

Chris Hough took pictures of the procession and the resulting service for Remembrance Sunday.

Meanwhile, in Preston city centre the Cenotaph was the main focal point for the city’s main remembrance parade and service.
