A man police wish to speak to in connection with Ashton robbery

Police have released a CCTV picture of a man they want to speak to after an armed robbery in Ashton-on-Ribble.

Around 9.30pm on Thursday (16 November) a man entered the Boozebusters shop in West Park Avenue.

Wearing a blue jacket and with his face partially covered the man was armed with a knife.

He made threats towards a staff member while demanding cash.

The suspect made off with cigarettes, tobacco and a till drawer containing a quantity of cash.

Preston Police have released the CCTV picture of a man they wish to speak to – no arrests have been made at this stage.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting log number 1498 of November 16.

It’s the second time the off-licence has been targeted, staff were threatened with a knife by a masked man on Friday 3 November.
