New aerial pictures show how a new building for Preston’s skyline is coming together.
The University of Central Lancashire’s new engineering and innovation centre is taking shape near the Adelphi roundabout.
Built on the university’s Foster building car park at a cost of £30million it will train the next generation of engineers.
A 250-tonne crane is in place hauling the six-stories into shape.

Foundation work has completed and the steel structure is now being erected.
Director of capital projects at UCLan David Smith said: “The work on the EIC is progressing well, after months of planning it’s exciting to see the building taking shape.”

The engineering building is one of many developments across the university’s Preston campus as part of its £200million campus masterplan.
