St George’s Shopping Centre has made a new addition with the arrival of Oceans Fish and Chips.
The new store has opened in the city shopping centre and is located next to Burger King on the ground floor, in the central rotunda area.
The unit itself has had a refit, creating a ‘modern and clean’ interior and also providing a seating area for 40 customers to dine in.
Victoria Yu, owner of Oceans Fish and Chips, said: “I’ve spent years working for my family restaurant, Yu and You in The Ribble Valley, so I’m no stranger to the fast-paced world of food service.
“Oceans is my first solo venture so it’s great to be joining the network of shops in St George’s. We’re looking forward to providing quality, environmentally conscientious food to Preston.”

Andrew Stringer, general manager at St George’s Shopping Centre, added: “We have a strong mix of food retailers in the centre and Oceans, offering the nation’s favourite – fish and chips, will prove to be a huge success.
“As an integral part of Preston’s shopping community, it’s important to us that we do all we can to support local, independent businesses. By welcoming Oceans to the centre, we strengthen our food offering and give support to local produce suppliers.”
St George’s is already home to independent food outlets Cuppa Café, Café Fresché and global brands Greggs and Krispy Kreme.
