Someone has smashed up one of Preston’s red phone boxes

A listed structure in Preston has been left vandalised.

One of the city’s iconic red telephone boxes in Market Street has seen smashed glass left littered all over the pavement.

Running down the side of the former Post Office building the phone boxes are being offered as small business spaces.

But one reveller on Friday (6 October) night decided to smash the glass on the side of one of the grade-II listed phone boxes.

The Twitter account for the phone boxes certainly had something to say on the matter.

Anyone with information about the damage is asked to call Preston Police on 101.
