Preston’s food kitchen run by the city’s Sikh community for the homeless has received a boost.
Community Gateway Association has donated a number of water urns to help.
Running on the last Sunday of every month the Sikh kitchen feeds up to 60 people who need help. Anyone is welcome to go along.
Gateway staff presented the urns to the Sikh community and said: “We’re proud to team up with people who are super passionate about the people of Preston.”
A spokesman for the Preston Sikh Seva Society said: “Thank you to the Gateway staff who have kindly donated the water urns for the Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Langar.
“We at Preston Sikh Seva Society are very grateful for your donation and support.”
